Academic Expectations

At Brandon Valley Middle School every student completes every assignment with acceptable accuracy.  Those students that have late, missing, incomplete,  or unacceptable accuracy on their assignments are placed on the ICU list.  Those students participating in 8th grade basketball that are on the ICU list at the end of each school day will be required by the coaching staff to work after school with their teachers until 3:45 pm (or later upon teacher discretion/need) to complete their school work.  Participants will join practice after completing their work and presenting documentation from their teacher(s) that all school work has been completed and turned in.  Those students that miss large amounts of practice time due to being on the ICU list may have their playing time in competetions shortened.
